Once your LUTs are visible, simply click on the thumbnail to apply it to the selected clip. You will immediately see the color grade change in the viewer window. What looks perfect on your high-end monitor might look washed out on a laptop or phone. If possible, perform a quick test on a secondary display. Finally, avoid using too many LUTs in a single project. Consistency is key to a professional look. Choose one or two LUTs that fit your video’s mood and stick with them to maintain visual continuity.
Exporting Your Graded Video
Once you are satisfied with the look, it is time to export. Go to the Deliver page in DaVinci Resolve. Choose your output format, such as H.264 or ProRes, depending on your final use. Ensure that the "Color" checkbox is selected in the render settings to include your LUT adjustments. Name your project and hit Add to Render Queue. After rendering, review your final video to ensure the LUT has been applied correctly throughout the entire clip.
